The good name of qantas

We flew home today. I had double checked flight times and relevant day light savings times, but didn't really check the terminal number, after all. It was a qantas flight from Sydney to Brisbane.
We got to the terminal and tried to check in, and the kiosk told us that our flight didn't exist. WHAT????
Our flight was supposed to leave from the international terminal. Not the domestic. We wouldn't make the flight.
By now my hands were shaking uncontrollably and I felt ill. It was. My. Fault.

There is nothing worse than realizing the blame of stupidity lies squarely on your own shoulders, no one else can take the blame.

The lovely lady at the check in desk, quickly found us seats on the domestic flight that left 15 min later than the original flight. No fuss no bother just. Like. That.

What mercy I was shown today. Generosity in the face of my own stupidity. I am going to write them a letter and tell them of their good service. Or at least an email.

Here is me sitting having a strong cup of coffee when we got to the gate

And here is the gate, I can't believe we got home today. Thank you qantas.

And the butter chicken tortillas were delicious. So many chick peas, and you know how I feel about chick peas... We are very good friends
