Hello

Doesn't that just make you smile?
Dinner tonight at the local hotel with kids playground. It was a bit average, not as good as I had remembered. But the kids had a great time, until Elliot hit his head. It was a celebration of holidays, a long put off meal from end of soccer seasons, and bravery acknowledgement for a young someone who had a plantar wart frozen off this morning.

School holidays 1 week down

It's the middle weekend of the school holidays and I'm feeling the end of holidays blues already. It seems to be rushing along like a flooded river at it peak and its going to be gone too quickly. This last week has been nice, no rushing about just an easier pace - Tristan is particularly enjoying having things on his schedule rather than beating to the rhythm of the school drum. We went to check out the newly refurbished library I'd heard rumours that they had opened a coffee shop there and was envisaging sipping a fw while leisurely thumbing thru my newly borrowed books. But what was actually there was a play cafe for the kids in the new kids section of the library. No lattes there unless you count all the breastfeeding mums. It was really nice I was quite pleased with this shot of the boys all playing at the Lego wall especially tiny little T trying to be a big boy - he was looking at the big boys like " it goes here right guys?" Cute
There is lots of reading to be done... I borrowed the boys a book called the cautionary tale about chocolate - lessons to be learned there friends, never wish for everything you touch to be turned into chocolate. -written from here

its starting to feel a lot like Christmas

Its so nice this year to again be enjoying Christmas in the one place. I am not sure I will ever get over moving house 3 christmas' in a row ending in the birth of one baby while moving house.
So I got the decorations out from where I had put them last year - down in our dungeon. and we had a lovely afternoon decorating the tree. We are loving the advent calendar. I will take some more pictures of this but we are using Harrysdesk advent readings and activities - they are for slightly older children so we are modifying them a little. Its awesome seeing how real the story of Jesus birth has become to Sebastian this year and his understanding of what its all about.

holidays at brunswick

we had a lovely holiday way back in Sept/Oct with our good friends the Gillies. The Holiday was tinged with sadness as the realisation dawned on Derek and Berty that they had not been accepted as part of The Amazing Race for 2010. They did take it in their stride and we were able to continue on and have a good holiday anyway. It began with impetigo for Elliot and ended with bad tonsilitis and vomitting for Sebastian. Ah the memories. Here tho they are all having a good time.

Holidays at Hervey Bay

We had a week at hervey bay in january. It was blissful - two waterbabies who swam themselves silly, who were so tired who slept like hibernating bears, and ate like lions!
Beautiful place. we hired bikes on the last afternoon and cycled around the bay - perfect.
The photos are taken at Wetside a free water activity centre - that was awesome

seeing in the new year

with stories and sparklers! ( I took a lot of sparkler photos - this was the best of a bad bunch - obviously I know nothing about nighttime photography)
