Super fun visitors

Our lovely sil and bil and cousins came to stay. Such a lovely few days. We ventured to river rocks park
It was a bit fun. We discovered sweet and salty popcorn. It was a bit yum

The superbaby swimmers are killing me. They are a bit cute

Evie is a doll! She is a bit great ( the big boys are itching for me to take them to this park- can you see the flying fox in the background?)

That Finn he's a bit funny.

G20 and lion king

Turns out I had booked our lion king tickets for the Middle of the g20 - nice one. As it turned out if was just the audience of the lion king and 1600 police at Southbank that day. Safe as houses.

We LOVED it. Such a fun day. Catching the train in, having lunch - boys choice grilld. Excellent I had a goats cheese and pomegranate grilled chicken salad. So YUM.

Looking mystified.

Why I aughta!!

Can we do this every week?

If only.

Oooh the Christmas market is tomorrow

I Hope this all sells. I get a little bit personally insulted if it doesn't. And guess what you will all be getting for Christmas presents.!!

Pants wettingly funny

Sometimes you catch a moment. Something random, something that's situational, something between best buddies.

That

Makes you

Laugh so hard tears roll down your face, your sides hurt and you nearly pee your pants.

Eating sneaky iceblocks in the car
That's what they were doing. I'm pretty sure seb was making a farty sound to get E laughing that much.

Did somebody say nerf war?

So we did Elliot a bday party trying to beat the Christmas rush. We opted for a nerf war.

There were little people withe rocket launchers

And some big people with sawn off s

A great PowerPoint to accompany the games.

- and a cache of weapons

Elliot had a great time but was concerned that people weren't respecting him as he got shot a few times. I think he thought as it was his party he was immune!

Getting Christmassy around here

I've really enjoyed putting up the decorations this year. Maybe it's this year drawing to a close I'm looking forward to or celebrating Jesus coming down to lavish grace upon us. I'm looking forward to having holidays with the boys and Derek. And hanging out.

Sleepers

I went out for dinner last night and got this pic from Derek. He has put T into his own bed to go to sleep and found him on our bed wearing my pjs. Then when I got home we went in to say good night to all of them and seb wasn't on his bed. We wasn't on ours (t was) and he wasn't on Elliot's. He wasn't in te spare room or on the toilet. We were both starting to panic a little til I turned on the light and there were two size 2 feet sticking out from under Ts cot. He'd gone to sleep with his pillow pet under the cot!!! We had to drag him out. He was all sheepish dopey smiles.

And T fell asleep sitting up on Wednesday. He is desperately trying to give up days sleeps.

Certificate certificate

Last week elliot came home from school bemoaning the fact he didn't get a certificate and it was unfair cause piper got 3. Low and behold this week he was up for the award. - for enthusiastic and energetic learning in the prep classroom. He was a bit excited.

Then seb got a certificate for participation in the talent show. He auditioned with 3 magic tricks but wasn't picked for the finals. He was sad but stoic. He was brave and really can you compete with 30 girls singing and dancing to let it go?

More Tristan.

By the end of the party trusts was soaking wet, he'd found the tap at the park in cahoots with two other twos they took turns shore in under it. It was his birthday, whatcha gonna do? So he ended up in our friend debs jacket looking a bit Iike a melted snowman.

Steph has come to visit. Hooray, she patiently let them decorate some birthday cookies this morning.

A mum and son selfie. At the geckos wildlife show

Cutie patootie possum.

And a crocodile. Tristan loved the animals and even touched the snake. I wasn't brave enough for that!

Two

This crazy little ray of sunshine was two today.

He is adored by his big brothers who were more excited about his birthday than him.

He loves his dad and peppa pig

Coles won the sponsorship of the birthday cake this year, in a trade off of organising a 40th birthday party this afternoon a cake was purchased. This is not my own work. See next week for cake 2.

He loves sushi, his choice for dinner, and as you can see has excellent fine. Motor skills to be able to eat sushi with chop sticks. Genius.

And he is a little bit crazy, sitting here on his motor bike with a helmet and bike riding gloves on. All his own ideas.

Oh I love him so, and I love two, it's just the best.

Who is this?!?!

Seb went on his first school camp last week. And although nervous and apprehensive had "the best time ever"
I found these pictures on the school newsletter this week. Who is this child front and centre?

Just for a close up - tongue out, hood on doing a peace sign....

He speaks of eating mountains of food (he doesn't eat much at home) he made pottery, he came home with everything he took including the 2x2L water bottles I was specially asked to make sure he definitely had - they weren't used and I spent a good hour racing around trying to find them. He was exhausted. And managed to pull up ok the next day to do his first ever piano concert. What a week.
Oh there will be more camps in the future.

Five words.

Tristan is talking non stop. If you don't acknowledge him or respond he will just keep at it until you do. I put this to the test the other day and he said daddy work 23 times before I gave in and said yes daddy's at work.
Today he said this. "Dead bird garbage truck dummies". The story he told in these five words was this. We saw a dead cockatoo on the road. It was gone that afternoon. He assumes it had been put in the garbage truck, with his beloved dummies. "Cheeky bird" was the next line after I said yes the dead bird was in the garbage truck probably with his dummies.
I'm not sure he understood how dead the bird was. It wasn't just "mostly dead" it was good and proper dead. But he was convinced it was having a party in the garbage truck with his dummies. Funny funny boy. And no the getting rid of dummies isn't going that well

School unfair.

Today was the long awaited school fair. It was a perfect day 25 degrees and sunny. I gave the boys a set amount of money they could spend on whatever they liked at the fair. Food, fairy floss, rides, face painting, trash and treasure...

They both decided to go on the dodgem cars. Sebastian came back saying it wasn't good and he had a headache and whiplash from being bumped around

This was Elliot's face after the dodgem cars - the dodgy cars he called them unintentionally being very funny. He was no pleased, he cried, "mummy that was awful, it hurt my tummy and everyone just crashed into me all the time. It was unfair"
There were more tears.

So slushies made it better. I felt for him, it was rough, it was unexpected that his tummy got hurt the whole time. I was cheap and bought one slushy between the 3 of them! There was no complaining though, secretly I think Tristan drank most of it.
