Our Elliot is such a smiler, talk to him and he breaks out into a big grin. He is chuckling away here to a boo game but seeing Sebastian jump on the trampoline and fall over also has him in stitches. Ah life is funny when you are 4 months old

Smiley Boy

The pretty prince of parties

Here is some fun we had this afternoon with friends and a special family member. Derek is being the lolly man and the kids had to chase him and rip the lollies off him. Hilarious - there will come a time when this is dangerous but at 3 its just rollicking good fun. Please note lovely mown grass in photos - thanks Doug the mowerman
Super Sebastian

Sebastian is really into superheros at the moment - no idea why he has no idea what they do or where they come from etc etc but they have captured his imagination so this morning he got this tshirt and cape that I made for him and he LOVED IT! I should be a good mum and be washing it right now so he can wear it again tomorrow but Im not Im sitting here with my feet up and blogging and FBing with my sister
Buzz the cake

Here is the progress from humble packet mix to the light of a certain 3 year olds life!
It certainly was a hit and he asked about 5 times a day to have another look at the buzz cake before it got eaten today. We have some left over buzz face I will say I was pretty chuffed and surprised at how it turned out. Hopefully this one will go in the Lane family book of cakes. Thanks Jen for the food colouring texta and the skin colour food colouring.

The Family

Thanks to Philippa we have a family photo. Elliot was not obliging - he wanted to drink not pose for photos
A little Culture

We went to the new exhibitions at the GoMA at Southbank. Philippa and I could have stayed in the kids section for hours making paper bats and cicadas. Sebastian throughly painted the rocks and we all enjoyed the chinese modern art - well worth a visit.
Sebastian and mummy see the sights

We have had a lovely visit from our friend Philippa. So she took some pictures of me which rarely happens. Here we are paddling at Shorncliff pier on Easter day after some fish and chips and The other pic is from Mt Coo-tha with Brisvegas in the background.

a strange place to sleep

Sebastian has pretty much given up on the daytime sleep. He has a quiet rest, which usually means tipping all the toys out and making a big mess. He went unusually quiet the other day and I went to investigate - he had tipped out all the toys from the toy box and had fallen asleep the second photo is of him with the nodds.( like when you fall asleep on the train)
DONE!

Our Bathroom is finished - we need an instruction manual for the hot water system so if you ever come to stay we will show you how to achieve a hot shower - its possible through a lot of practice.
Still some painting to do and maybe a little decorating... Im thinking this....
Happy birthday Daddy

Pancakes for breakfast - the best pancake recipe from a BBC food magazine circa 1992. American pancakes that are so big and fluffy, they are the best. a perfect morning on the deck followed by lunch with Andrew and Martine, Dinner at Old Macdonalds and a game of bowling with Debbie and Anthony and Lachlan ( georgia and elliot just watched)
A lovely day had by all. I managed to keep Dereks present a secret this year and didnt tell sebastian - I did tell him that we were knitting him a jumper so Sebastian just kept repeating that to him! Ha Foiled!!!
