My Grandparents have recently gone into a nursing home that I got to visit this week. Its a lovely place, with lovely patient staff who are caring for them both very well, they get to see each other most days. As my mum clears out their house a few things have come my way. It was with a sense of excitement and sadness that I greeted these New old things. Excited - cause I love these things and they remind me of my grandparents and all the happy time we had at their place, but sad because of what it represents - the end of an era, the passing of time, the finality of death and the frailty of life.
The pieces are fitting in well and are being well used ( am sitting on the couch now) Thanks Grandma and Pa
