Aunty Ollie $100 Gift Card GUEST GIVEAWAY!!!!

this was just a test to see if the create a link button worked - but saying that I do love this blog and think that this lady is one clever lady. I say thumbs up to anyone else who is looking at kids clothes that they wish could be bigger so they could wear them too.
Hooray for sewing and Hooray for the simplicity of childrens clothes

Sebastian taking pictures

Sebastian took some nice pictures of Elliot and I this afternoon

hmmm up to no good

doesnt that just look like a face that says Im doing something I shouldnt!!! He wasnt - he was playing some tunes on the guitar for Elliot to dance to, Sebastian climbs into Elliots cot in the mornings and they jump and giggle together until someone gets hurt and it all ends in tears - it has ended in biting the last few days - shame cause it starts off so well.

Copying

Elliot has just got to the age where he is starting to imitate and use things as they should be used - In his bag of toys in the lounge room there is an old handfree phone which is white - hes using it here like a wii remote - while Daddy is playing wii. Funny.

new shorts

some sewing hsa been done - its only been on the pile for 12 months. and got sewn up in about 1 hour 2 pairs of shorts.nice. might be a bit cheesy to both wear them at the same time

have teeth... will use them

This Child has sooo many teeth, at 10 months he can make his way through an unpeeled apple. He can also bite small children and is very keen on biting his friend Georgia every time we see her ( sorry about this morning Deb!)

sharing the leapster

Sebastian and Seth doing excellent sharing on holidays, they had such fun together

at the beach

Holiday at Coffs, too too nice - the first pic sums up the beach for us. Sebastian gunho but no blubber so doesnt last very long, and then has to be rugged up in everything possibly warm. and Elliot eats the sand

its been a while

so much so that I have forgotten how to use blogger - and added all these photos that dont really have anything to do with each other all in the one post - time is short so they are staying
so 1. the brisbane river on the duststorm day,
2. Us at Colin on my birthday on the duststorm day. Colin is awesome
3. an unfortunate parenting incident - finding Elliot in the open cupboard having gotten down a bottle of wine - lucky he is too little to be able to unscrew bottles - note to self - get cupboard child locks and put them on
4&5 Derek mowing the lawn - a satisfying job, we all watched from the comfort of the deck, Sebastian ready with a sword if needs be.

hanging out with Daddy

The hammock is everyones favourite spot at the moment -the weather is perfect for a little relaxing in the hammock under our poinsiana tree.
I realised that in most photos at the moment Elliot has a dummy in his mouth - not an accurate capture of his natural state!

the plague

we came home the other day to find this creature sitting on our deck. It did cause me to look up into the sky to check if there was a swarm behind us. But it turned out to be just the one. We had a great time watching him move and eventually jump off and fly away.

the best toys

Elliot loves playing with anything long and thin and waving it above his head. so brooms mops, wands, pool cues, plastic swords, handles from paint rollers... he loves it all and will happily wave it away

boys in the crib

these two are best buddies so far. They have mutual admiration for each other and equally make each other laugh a lot. They love roaring at each other and bouncing on the trampoline. Sebastian has started trying to pick Elliot up and carry him places which is interesting cause he can move places by himself now - he didnt pick him up at all before he could crawl!

love my dog

Hanging out with the dog

standing

our drawer full of plastic containers is the best play centre, perfect height to lean on and dip right in.

strawberry season

its strawberry time here, we have a strawberry man - not a man made out of strawberries but a man who grows them who comes every week to playgroup and sells half a kilo for $5. They are huge and so sweet. we love strawberries particularly ones that are the size of cheeks or hands

sick

Elliot has been sick. There is a great service in Brisbane that you can get a Dr to come to your house after house thats free - just flashing your medicare card. such reassurance. I took him back to the Dr the next day as he was still sounding raspy and it cost $60! so the moral of the story - to get the dr to come after hours - no messing around getting in and out of the car, no cost, no waiting in sick waiting rooms, and you can stay in your jammies!
Elliot is asleep here on my chest, and yes I am knitting.

its not cold enough

Mum we live in brisbane its too hot for this. But a bit cute

crawling

elliot is crawling and eating whatever he likes- today it happened to be chair legs

girly heart flutters

we went to the playschool concert last week, Angela came out on stage first - and there was a slight exhale as people were disappointed it wasnt Justine or Leah, but then la la la la la la la la la la la la la la ... la la its ALEX.... there was an audible gasp as 100, 30 something mummies all remembered frank from home and away. hee hee - good concert!
( it was however a petri dish of germs and we all got colds after it)

New dress

made a new dress for a wedding, from my japanese craft book, with mums help and another trip to spotlight. the strips on the bottom werent in the original plan. but I made it too short and really wanted it to be a dress not a top. It turned out great after a lot of tweaking.

quince paste

mmmm quince paste - love it, made it in the slow cooker best ever. will do that one again, more cheese to be eaten!

new house

so this is where the possum now lives. in the cupboard in the shed. next to the ant rid and WD40

so this was the make up prize

for a crappy rollercoaster ride

the samford show

a few weeks ago we went to the regional show the one before the Ekka. It was fun we saw some wood choppers, ate lots of popcorn, Derek took his life into his own hands and had a dagwood dog and Sebastian and Lachlan chose this ride to go on. Note the bouncy slide in the background - which I tried to convince them would be more fun but oh no they wanted to go on the "super jet" rollercoaster. Ok we said, and off they went. Unfortunately you cant see the look of sheer terror on their faces nor hear the crying that ensued. the lady stopped the ride after two goes around, they got off bawling their eyes out. "Mummy that was not fun!" I was laughing too hard to be much help in consolation!
