Your tummy is super big mummy
Elliot that's not very kind
But mum um you can get baddies with your tummy you can bang them .... And robbers... But not sharp things it might pop.

Motivational words to get back in shape?

Not winning any parent of the year awards.

The jump from 2 to 3 has been bigger than anticipated. Now for a number of reasons I'm not on top of my game. But yesterday was one of those days that at the end when reflecting I heard the things I had said to our middle child and the tone in which I had said them, I was not on top of my anger and I let that be the judge of my response, I was not entirely fair to him and I felt ashamed of the way I had treated him yesterday.
Mind you if he had the powers of internal reflection which I'm sure are not common to the average 3 year old he may have felt the same about the way he treated me too.
I don't think this is going to improve quickly but everyday is a new one and I have to work hard at forgiving him and he me. I do need to go in at night and see him sound asleep and tell him that I love him and pray for a better day.

Green is good for boys too

Elliot and I spent some time just us this morning, we did magic sand, red stories and painted nails. My green polish was removed by force by the lovely nurses at the royal, so it had to be restored. Elliot laid back on the pillows and "relaxed" while I cut his nails and painted the green "cause it's an ok colour for boys- not pink that for girls "

The only photo

I meant to get a nice photo of Steph with the boys on her visit but this is the only one I got. Mostly that had something to do with me spending 3 days of her visit in hospital. Not a planned thing obviously.

God certainly has him hand on the timing of things. Steph was here to look after the boys and keep the home fires burning while I hung out in hospital again after a secondary post partum haemorrhage. A big thanks to Steph for being here, and going above and beyond call of duty as an aunt and a sister. so so glad you were here. She was with me at the hospital after I got the news I had to have surgery and a big cuddle was just what I needed.
So we will get the photo next time

I can touch here

Elliot has gotten the concept that he can't touch Tristan with germy fingers. Particularly no picking noses then touching Tristan or putting your fingers in his mouth.
However like a good Pharisee he has been checking where he can touch and still touch his brother. This has involved touching all around his nose, not in it and asking if he can still touch Tristan. Here? Here? Here? How about here?

He even wore shorts and a tshirt.

I don't think he has the legs for shorts yet.
