School holidays 1 week down

It's the middle weekend of the school holidays and I'm feeling the end of holidays blues already. It seems to be rushing along like a flooded river at it peak and its going to be gone too quickly. This last week has been nice, no rushing about just an easier pace - Tristan is particularly enjoying having things on his schedule rather than beating to the rhythm of the school drum. We went to check out the newly refurbished library I'd heard rumours that they had opened a coffee shop there and was envisaging sipping a fw while leisurely thumbing thru my newly borrowed books. But what was actually there was a play cafe for the kids in the new kids section of the library. No lattes there unless you count all the breastfeeding mums. It was really nice I was quite pleased with this shot of the boys all playing at the Lego wall especially tiny little T trying to be a big boy - he was looking at the big boys like " it goes here right guys?" Cute
There is lots of reading to be done... I borrowed the boys a book called the cautionary tale about chocolate - lessons to be learned there friends, never wish for everything you touch to be turned into chocolate. -written from here

the prism

so it turns out that you can fit a 4 year old and a 1.5 year old in a box... well their heads at least.
It reminded me of that bit in Superman 2 I think where Superman banishes those bad guys into that triangular prism and they bump around the universe in it. This isnt so grim, but its 2 heads in a box.

Sai of relief

I had an afternoon spare with no 3 year old so No. 2 and I went to the Op shop. There were a lot of old ladies in there. Elliot dug around in a huge basket of soft toys and pulled out (not dissimilar to excalibur) a Sai. He ran around the shop poking it at various old ladies but the cuteness factor won out for him, I had to buy it at $1.50. So Sebastian and Elliot have been Jousting ever since.

in daddys shirts

all looking very cute before going to a wedding in "daddy's shirts" that my mum made, with monogrammed pockets.
pic 1 Elliot with his most common face - that is grinding his top and bottom teeth together - drives me nuts! Its worse than nails down the chalkboard
pic 2 Sebastian being bill the puppy dog for the photo. This alter ego comes to visit occasionally and its a breath of fresh air as Bill doesnt talk or ask questions - he just hangs his tongue out and pants, its a moment of quiet! we like bill coming to visit
pic 3 the real dog asleep in the background
