Last day of school

Sebastian was a bit upset last night that it was the last day of school and that he won't see he friends til January. So to make it a happier day, and more to the point I woke up after an awful dream and needed some distraction and cheering up too, we made pancakes for breakfast.


I gave Elliot the job of chopping the tops of the strawberries and cutting them in half. He did a sterling job.


Pancakes don't fix bad dreams or the realities that they stem from, nor do they fix sadness and loss of friends but they do go a little way in making the day a bit better.
We will go out tonight to celebrate a great first year at school. Sebastian has requested vietnamese again (hooray!) I was able to change his first request of McDonalds!
