We had our church end of year/Christmas party here at the victoria barracks in the city. Its a real live officers mess. And quite spectacular, display cupboards of silverware for officers dinners, pictures of the queen and king, signed on a visit from 1984 commonwealth games, not the recent trip down the river. There were outrageously fine carver chairs and a table with a leather top so your cards don't slide everywhere with bronzed cigar stations in each corner.
It was a fun place to have a Christmas party. The only things I didn't get was why the roads in there were the opposite, driving on the right not the left? Anyone?
