Sometimes things go right

As I have said a few times before I hate taking the boys to shopping centres and restaurants fall into a close second. Yet with this in mind we ventured out to somewhere that did not have a playground, and didn't serve fish and chips or nuggets as the kids menus. We went with a bunch of people to a Vietnamese restaurant in west end.
It was a very very pleasant experience.
It was noisy so it didn't matter if the kids were not in control of their volume. It wasn't pristinely clean so food on the floor or drinks spilled - no biggie. ( neither happened tho)
You could eat with your fingers and the plates were all plastic- perfect just where our table manners are at!
We ordered spring rolls, the boys devoured them, and roll your own rice paper rolls, the boys are more than they would have at home!
They talked to the people we were sitting with, coloured in, tried new foods, drank jasmine tea, and we're just fun to be around. Fine dining indeed. They also talked and talked about it on the way home and asked when we could go again.
Soon! Hopefully some more good times to be had.

This is Elliot at Vietnamese with his new friend locky.
