WIP

Yesterday afternoon two lovely ladies with far more skill, know how brain power and cutting tools from our morning church came over to help me piece together the puzzle of a chevron quilt for the new baby. It's going to be his Hunca munca.

Up to a point I hadn't been ready to make it, I attempted several times but it wasn't the right time, I think I was still not ready to believe this baby was going to be a part of our family.
But here we are 19 days to go. I'm ready. I'm excited. Im thankful.
I'm making a quilt that somewhat expresses the journey of the ups and downs of getting to here.

Look at those skillful hands. Thank God for lovely women like Pam and Jan who yesterday took a whole bunch of strips and cut them and forms them into a masterpiece.

Now for the next 19 days I will be sitting and hand stitching the colours onto this quilt. I am under no illusions that it will be finished before the baby arrives. Like me , it is a work in progress.

  2. Really fast! I'm so pleased with it!
Your advice about the 3" strips piecing then cutting 45 worked a treat and very little warping.
