Cirque du soleil

Friday afternoon saw us trot on down to the circus, it seems there are about 3 in town at the moment so we went for soleil. For years I've been interested in seeing it and never got around to it. But this year the soleil was shining on us. And we were NOT disappointed. In fact it's one of the more fun things we've done with the boys.
It looked like it was all going to go pear shaped when Elliot fell asleep in the car on the way and cried and shook and begged to be taken back to the car park, but when the lights went down and the music started he was entranced, excitedly proclaiming it was the best most awesome show ever and when can we see it again?

Sebastian was awestruck at points and kept a running commentary on what was happening.
This particular performance was really great for kids. All insects and colorful, engaging and the 3 clowns who kept the story going btwn acrobatic tricks were very clever and slapstick which seriously appeals to 6&3 year old boys. They couldn't get over the fact the beetle punched the fly in the nuts. Hilarious!

We all thought Jasper would have loved it especially the trampolining grasshoppers who jumped off a 10m rock climbing wall and back again!
So thanks cirque du soleil, well worth the wait.
