Busted face

Turned out Elliot's role at school was to be the soft landing pillow. He was under the monkey bars and another kid used him as such. His face was busted up

Bruises and cuts like he'd been in a bar fight.


Wobbly teeth and cuts on his lips.
Oh no hang on the wobbly tooth was pre existing.

The greatest things from this horrible tragedy is the measure of his big brother, and his brave attitude to school.

Sebastian saw it all happen in the playground. He whisked Elliot to the teacher, gave Elliot loads of hugs, took him to the positively named "health" room and sat with him holding ice on his face, then took hi to. A quiet spot in the playground as instructed by the health room and sat with him for the rest of break. Doesn't your heart break? Wouldn't you have loved to see that scene, have it seared on your memory for all the times they say they hate each other and hurt each other on purpose.
Elliot was full of praise for his rescuer.
Elliot was also very brave in the face of a scary event without a known adult present. And there were no tears this morning. Histrionics this afternoon but a good goodbye this morning.
