A great day with Jen

After the boys had been at the cricket for the day the next day was our turn. we all drove into the city and Jen and I had leisurely coffee and wandered in along the park that is next to the torrens. We walked thru the university campus and ended up next to the art gallery so we went in for a wander. It was a great gallery and some unexpected treasures, some Australian impressionists such as Rupert bunny, a Renoir, and






This amazing work. Made out of gold cast skeletons of dead animals - gross I know. But put together so that up close they look like a messy ball of nothing, closer you can see the detail of the skeletons and far away - look at those shadows! how clever!






A Charles Rennie Mackintosh chair- one of. My favourite Art Deco designers. There was also some delft china exhibitions and a whole room on William Morris wallpaper and tiles- which I know sounds a bit odd but we really had a. Great time. We shopped and wandered and ended up at the Greek restaurant
