I'd love to be a fly on the wall sometimes when little kids play imagination games. It cracks me up. I go to school with sebastian on Fridays and watch his class play and do their obstacle course, of course Elliot joins in too.
I few weeks ago I watched a scene unfold with 6 little boys all deciding to play lego ninjago. What! You say? Toys aren't allowed at school! No you are quite right so all the boys decided to be characters out of the Lego activity sets you can get. It was like watching half a dozen chickens squabble for the last few grains on the ground.
You be Sensai wu,
no I am Kai
we can't have two kais
You be Cole,
No I don't want to be Cole I want to be jay
And on it went until some type of agreement had been reached and they all ran off together fighting imaginary skeletons and ninjas together. It looks a lot just like 6 boys running about the playground all together but they see themselves as a crack ninja team defeating perceived and unperceived enemies.
So often at dinner I ask sebastian what games he played at school today and last night he came up with a cracker. He said his friend "thomas had invented it right back when they had nearly started school".
It goes like this
It's called the evil dr owl game. There are 2 evil owls who build 2 evil robots there are 2 cowboys and the cowboys and the evil owls fight each other. The robots help the evil owls fight the Cowboys. And they have two flying cars
That's the evil dr owl game.
Doesn't that sound awesome! I'm sure it looks a little like Lego ninjago 6 boys running around in a pack in the playground. Love it!
