whoever these people are who both invented these "amusements" and maintain them by swapping them around fortnightly at your 'local' are my worst enemy. They have turned what could be a five min dash into the shops for milk and bread into a tactical and logistical nightmare. its akin to dodging landmines in Eretria - (obviously not nearly as life threatening) but you know what I mean. How do these people sleep in their beds at night?
One day I was trying to run past this particular attraction and a grandmother had just put her grandchildren on and there was a spare seat - she offered it to Sebastian - who gleefully took his seat and went around 3 times. Thanks very much now he knows they work - I said. She said to me that I should just tell him only grandmothers can make them work, hmmm then he will hunt down any grey haired female at the shop to beg her for coins as his mum is too cheap - its a no win situation.
I concur. Our shopping centre just put in a little playground, thanks a lot!!! (Fortunately the kids don't know it's open yet. But I can't conceal it forever)
ReplyDeleteblind folds??
ReplyDeleteI agree, we have them down the shopping strip I frequent and sometimes it works if I say "Wow, look at that, OVER THERE!" and whiz by quick as I can. Kids get clever too fast though, don't they??
